My Story

Everyone and everything has an origin story. I feel it’s important to know my story. My name is Mary. I’m the momma to Paul, or Sweet P. I’m originally from Maryland but made my West just over 7 years ago. I grew up in the era of “low fat diets” and “fad diets.” They consumed my parents and we ate whatever was told to us that was “healthy.” We bought, hook line and sinker, that the food pyramid was what’s best for us. My teen years I was a vegetarian. I ate so much ultra processed foods. Velveeta cheese dip with chips cooked in whatever garbage oil. Candy with dyes. Energy drinks ☠️ But I didn’t eat meat so I was healthy!! I was doing my part to save the world 😂😅🥴🫣

And then I would cry to my mom about my breakouts. And I was so depressed and wanted to sleep all the time. We would use petroleum-based products on my skin and my breakouts would worsen. I would spiral. I continued to eat and drink garbage. I even smoked cigarettes! I at least knew those weren’t good for me. A decade plus went by. Somewhere in there I started eating meat again. But, still eating the standard American diet. I suffered from major depression, anxiety, had IBS, and had some other mystery ailments. It wasn’t until 2020 when I truly started to wake up to my health as a whole.

I started working for a chiropractor, started studying nutrition, and learned what was really going on in our food systems. I was a yoga teacher so I was teaching people about their body being a temple but it was so much deeper than that!! I began making my own everything from scratch. Began gardening. Meat is my main source of nutrition. I think of my gut health first if I’m having skin reactions. This is my really long story cut short!

We are in the awakening process as a society. This is ancestral living. We are going back to our roots. Tallow is not a trend. It is part of that awakening process. It is part of that ancestral living. This is how it was done for thousands of years (if not more.) You might be thinking about how popular tallow is, but this is just some of the beginning stages! We are shifting our consciousness.

It took me 26 years. 26! I’m still learning, and if you let me, I would love for you to learn right along side me.

Xoxo,

M
